A welcoming, Christ-centred, Bible-teaching church
in Melbourne’s inner east.
We’re a community of people seeking to live radically by the convictions that God is good and that Jesus Christ has all authority. We have a ministry focus on local young families.
If you’re interested to come along, we’ll do our best to welcome you - whoever you are.
We seek to take seriously the authority of the Bible, and from it we learn of the centrality of Jesus in how we relate to God, our Maker. We’re an evangelical church in the Reformed tradition deeply committed to renewing our faith in the gospel of Christ and to reforming our church life, and our individual lives, to conform to the Scriptures.

Our purpose:
‘Together making and growing Christ’s disciples’
church at 9:30am every Sunday
We meet to encourage one another to trust in Christ and to live for him day by day. Sunday church includes singing (a mix of classic and contemporary Christian songs), prayers, Bible reading and Bible preaching, and we serve morning tea afterwards. We think it’s not too scary — come and see!
Our 9:30am Sunday mornings also feature ‘Kids Church’, a dedicated children’s programme for preschool and primary school aged children. Children start in church with their parents / carers at 9:30am, then go out together with the Kids Church leaders after about 10 or 15 minutes. Parents / carers can go with the children if they wish.
Most Sundays our 9:30am church meeting is also accessible on-line by Zoom.
The Zoom meeting I D is 3 3 9 8 1 3 7 0 7 and the password C C H .
If you join by Zoom, you may be able to chat with others after the end of the formal church time.
And we also aim to live-stream the 9:30am Sunday service to our YouTube channel
youtube.com/@christchurchhawthorn
so you can watch our Sunday church live, or view the video any time afterwards, at a time that suits you.
We respect precautions against the spread of Covid and other infections. Participants may choose to wear a mask.
During the week

Christ church hawthorn
Together making and growing Christ’s disciples.
At Christ Church Hawthorn, we’re passionate about
knowing our Lord Jesus Christ and doing life together in Him.
We seek to live out our Christian faith thoughtfully and practically in community with Jesus at the centre, walking in step with the Spirit. We do this by taking God at his word, in other words by taking the Bible seriously.
We’re a growing Christian community with people in different stages of life. Because Christ first loved us, so we also love and care for one another in the strength that He provides, seeking to live out the fruit of the Spirit.
